Product Overview
These silk scarves were first dyed using the fresh leaves of indigo grown in my garden. This non-vat technique give aqua to robin's egg blue on silk, depending on the time of harvest. The dyed scarves were then marbled using paints I made from charcoal and indigo.
Marbling is a paint application. Unlike dye, paint is a surface treatment and is inherently averse to abrasion. For this reason anything marbled should be dry cleaned to avoid agitation in the wash.
