Included in the kit are the Yarn to Yards balance, a page with the cotton twist gauge and wrap gauge for the charkha, plus additional instructions for measuring very fine yarns.
The Yarn to Yards balance allows you to measure the yards per pound of your yarn.
Place a strand of yarn in the V cutout, cut the yarn until the balance is horizontal, then measure the length of the strand.
Multiplying this length by 100 gives you the yards per pound of the yarn.
This is an indispensable tool for a handspinners and handweavers.
